The story of a beautiful companionship
I was born and raised in East Zealand, Denmark and this is where my love for dogs started.
At an early age (I think I was about 3 years old), my parents got me a puppy for Christmas.
Naturally, I was ecstatic.
Then the year after they gave me a little sister.. yeah.. but at least they got the dog right 😉
Anyway, that dog followed me everywhere and was always there to greet me when I came home. Always happy and excited to see me.
I loved that dog.
Bamse was his name, which means teddy bear in Danish.
He was a crossbreed and I’m not entirely sure between what exactly, but I may ask my mother for a photo and upload it here at some point in the future.
My dog was my best friend. A true and faithful companion.
He wasn’t just a pet, he was family.
If you have a dog yourself, you know what kind of friendship I’m talking about. If you have a cat, sorry, you don’t know what I’m talking about. Please get a dog, you can thank me later 🙂
Fast forward
Today, I still surround myself with our furry, four-legged companions.
I’m not a kid anymore and my first dog is long gone, but I’ve had a few others since then.
I’ve even trained and competed in dog agility, which is a lot of fun for both dog and owner. I recommend it for anyone who is interested in spending quality time with their dogs.
The two dogs on the photo at the top of this page are mine, they mean the world to me.
I should probably also mention my wife in case she reads this – love you honey 🥰
We got married in 2015 in Tuscany, Italy. It doesn’t get more romantic than that!
Why I created DOG IDEAS
By now, it should be obvious that I care about dogs and I have a lot of experience with them.
People often tell me about things they wish they had known before they got a dog. If you’re a first-time dog owner, you probably have a lot of questions too. I want to address all of these issues and show you how to become the best dog parent ever.
I’ve already helped thousands of people (and dogs) since I started this site back in 2017.
Since then, DOG IDEAS has grown into one of the most popular dog sites on the web 👏
